ABOUT ME

Kate Ferraro (they/them) is a queer non-binary photographer from Wayne, New Jersey. They've been creating art since their childhood, but it wasn’t until senior year of high school that they found their true passion; photography. Since then, they’ve dedicated themselves to forging a career while learning all they can in their field. They are a 2020 graduate of William Paterson with a BFA in photography and currently working freelance in NJ.

As a student photographer at William Paterson, Kate's work was published on the WP social media pages, in the WP magazine, and featured twice in the “Here/Now Juried Student Show”. Kate also has 100+ collaborative works made in partnership and displayed around the Center for Diversity and Inclusion, including three prints from their series "Faces of the LGBTQ".

Kate's work has also been featured in "Dreamy Magazine" in issues 147 and 181, Loving Wyoming Pride Art Show 2021, and SoHa PRIDE Art Show 2021.

They are currently working on an ongoing series titled "Faces of the LGBTQ+”. This portrait series is meant to erase stereotypes by showcasing the real life faces of those living in the LGBTQ+ community. Though some people in the series may identify alike, each individual's story is different than the one before them. Kate's goal is to one day involve celebrities in their series and to be known for the work they are doing.
